Decoding Airport Taxes

We'd also like to take a moment to address a common concern, that our voucher winner pointed out and that many of our travelers encounter: airport taxes.

Airport taxes are essential fees to support the maintenance and development of airport infrastructure, security measures, and operational services that ensure safe and efficient travel for all passengers. While now-a-days the common practice is to include these taxes within the airline ticket for a seamless booking experience, some airports opt to collect taxes directly from passengers. This approach allows these airports to have more control over collection and allocation, also local regulations and administrative processes can influence this approach. Although separate collection might seem inconvenient, it is a way for some airports to make sure they have what they need to make your air travel experience better.

Within our network we have two airports that collect directly from the passengers, upon departure: SABA and ST. EUSTATIUS.
