Winair has supported the foundations over the years in various ways and the Pink Parade is always a much-anticipated event that many of Winair’s employees participate in. Many Winair pilots always opt to wear the pink epaulettes and in 2016 Winair added pink ribbons on its aircraft in an effort to make St. Maarten and other Winair destinations more conscious that early detection is the key and is still the best way to fight breast cancer and save lives.
This year we continue the call to action to get checked early by turning our signature Winair fans pink. These fans can be found in Winair’s Twin Otter fleet, but they will also be available during some of the pink events throughout the month of October.
Breast screening opportunities are available all through October 2019 at various medical clinics on St. Maarten. Just to mention a few opportunities: -
St. Maarten Diagnostic Center on the Airport road – October 2nd, 2019 from 3pm -4pm
Dutch Quarter Medical Clinic – Dutch Quarter – October 2nd and 9th from 10 am – 2pm
Bush Road Medical Clinic – Bush Road – October 5th, form 9 am – 11am
Zamora Perez Medical Center – Orange Grove – October 9th from 1pm – 3pm
Simpsonbay Medical Clinic – Simpson Bay Yacht Club – October 11th 2pm – 4pm

The Positive Foundation is honored to have Winair as its partner to bring the “Get Checked” message to our St. Maarten community and other Winair destinations,” said Shelly Alphonso, President of the Positive Foundation.
“The Elektralyets Foundation has been collaborating with the Positive Foundation for over 10 years. The Elektralyets Foundation is elated to be part of the coordinating forces behind many of the big awareness events and activities that go on throughout the Breast Cancer Awareness month, to unite women and men of St. Maarten, alerting them about our cause.
This has been a developing process over the years and each year the Elektralyets Foundation seeks out new sponsors and organizations that would like to work with them to help the Breast Cancer Awareness movement help save lives on the island of St. Maarten. That’s why we are also happy to collaborate with Winair, our national airline carrier, who will bring our Breast Cancer Awareness message to many of their destinations and heighten the awareness in the Caribbean region and beyond. Winair has become a great partner and continues to help grow the consciousness of being Breast Aware each year with innovative and creative ideas.
